Sus ScRofa albinos
This hure evokes a strange boar, with white fur and red eyes. The surprise is great when, at the approach of the visitors, the animal comes to life. After discreetly following the visitors in the Trophy Room with his eyes, he opens his mouth and starts a singular grunting. Work of Nicolas Darrot, artist fascinated by the relations between the living and the machine, Sus scorfa albino is an automaton. It can be triggered from a distance and comes to life during a singular sound sequence. Its movements then seem to testify of an aborted attempt to extract itself from the wall. Mounted on a crest, like the trophies with which it is presented, this work lures the visitor.
